Violators
The following Stream Raiders captains have violated the Guidelines by allowing, supporting, promoting, encouraging or spreading harassment in their communities. All evidence is double-checked against VODs at the time of reporting. If the captain has VODs disabled or paywalled the evidence is assumed valid until proven otherwise. Anyone claiming the list to be made up is clearly turning a blind eye to the evidence or not being honest enough to admit their own previous actions or statements. Sometimes even going as far as stating the opposite and claiming it's not based on anything factual or lacking any rhyme or reason.
If you doubt any entry in the list and would like to have a civilized conversation instead of resorting to pointless personal attacks demonstrating your own upbringing like that guy, please reach out to us through the usual means.
To all the captains that assume people are bots and state "If you are not - please say so in chat":AmicuNoa: ...creating an unpleasant situation by forcing an unwanted contact ... is harassment
tatsuchan90 et al.
According to L0ne_Hermit in Teddiosg's channel on 03/02/2023:
you probably can DM tatsuchan for the excel list LUL. ya tatsu always ask CTV to intoduce importing excel method to mass ban botters... i think she has an excel for it ready
But, according to CTV (this message is even pinned now):
Starting 17/01/2023, any accounts that are flagged in our internal systems as botting, cheating, automating, or exploiting any CTV games will be issued a permanent ban from that game in which the violation occurred.
So who is the liar here? L0ne_Hermit stating that tatsuchan90 has a list of botters? tatsuchan90 providing a list of players which she calls "botters" (aka harassment)? or CTV claiming to have banned all bot accounts on 17/01/2023? There statements don't add up. P.S. Good luck picking the last option
GameCowTV goes the next mile to point our their own violation in discord.
CTV "claim" to uphold the community guidelines (CTV DEV AMA) but only mention botting specifically, without any word on harassment. Recently this stance on ignoring harassment issues and only focusing on botting has been reiterated multiple times. Furthermore, they permit members of the "elite stream team" (Message has been removed many weeks later. Unclear if by the author coming to their sences or by a diligent moderator finally enforcing the rules, either way ) to promote harassment with their lack of understanding how the game mechanics (particularly event limits for loyalty chests) work. The harassment will doubtfully stop spreading faster than COVID19 until CTV start to actually enforce their own Guidelines. In other words, never. Oh, I'm sorry, rules and guidelines do not apply to people generating income for you? My bad...
Unsurprisingly CTV is currently experiencing financial issues now that people begin to wrap their heads (and cease further support of the company) around the fact that the Community Guidelines mean absolutelly nothing to CTV and CTV has no intention to ACTUALLY enforce them. Now may be already too late to begin enforcing the guidelines since many people have lost their trust in CTV.
[2 July, 2022] ctv_kermond: ... calling out specific Captains is a specific no-no - you can use the Reporting function for that!
But calling out specific Players is a specific yes-yes, apparently. It is common knowledge that all reports are ignored. You might as well toss a coin into a wishing well for a better effect.
Debunking common botting accusations/harassment
If I can't pronounce your twitch name - you are a bot
Because no other languages besides yours exist in the world...
You are clearly a bot because your name looks like gibberish to me
Because no other languages besides yours exist in the world...
You are clearly a bot because you didn't follow the custom instructions I wrote on the battlefield in my language
Because no other languages besides yours exist in the world...
You are clearly a bot because your name is really sussy
What are you, 12? Get outta here!
You are clearly a bot if you are not a viewer/follower of my channel
In XombieMagic's channel on 15/12/2022:
neahchanart: U can check if the ppl in Streamraiders are in your stream rn. If the majority is not: then they are bots.
Surprisingly the game does not require chat participation or even having twitch open to play the game, completelly self-contained.
You are clearly a bot because I don't know you
How many people of the Earth's population you don't know? They are also all bots so start banning!
You are clearly a bot if your twitch name is very short (7 or fewer letters)
There are over 10,000 known captains with such twitch names, e.g., xCarbin, Proficy, SoDLire, Tewky, Hukizan, EggsFry, Ishika, zSirenz, Idunnnn, Yalldin,...
Be sure to call each of them a bot and ban them too!
You are clearly a bot if your twitch name is very short (7 or fewer letters) and all lowercase
There are over 2,000 known captains with such twitch names, e.g., alwuh, selena, izrory, sabwina, mjlln, gastone, raveir, wzuia, hdamc, wersins,...
Be sure to call each of them a bot and ban them too!
You are clearly a bot if your twitch name is very short (7 or fewer letters) with some numbers on the end
There are over 3,000 known captains with such twitch names, e.g., Frukito123, Seacaos15, Clemen69, Ovie105, xmix26, JakeFox451, Bareth87, Ramez05, SovaNot1, Momi995,...
Be sure to call each of them a bot and ban them too!
You are clearly a bot if you manage to place 6 units in a battle
The game makes it rather difficult to forget to place a unit every 5 minutes with loud notification sounds "Unit ready to place".
You are clearly a bot because you are maxing your account to sell it later
Are players not maxing their accounts naturally?
Yet no proof of selling has been provided, just hearsay. Talk about bio-engineered military mosquitos speading deseases next, okay?
If you don't place in loyalty chest battles - you are a bot
Clearly lacking the understanding of what "loyalty" is, how the loyalty system works and the loyalty chest limits per event (i.e., suffering from the Dunning–Kruger effect).
You are clearly a bot because there is a bot program on the internet
This logic applies to all players, so ban everyone. Even players who are chatting in your channel could be using that program.
You are a bot because I guess you are (probably) a bot
You are a violator because I guess you are (probably) a violator. Fair? Fair.
You are a bot because you don't have a profile picture/filled out profile page
Why would people who don't intend to be streaming spend any effort on such things?
You are a bot because you didn't cash in units for souls as soon as they hit lvl 30
iPCM in SwayJEDI's channel:
It's easy to tell bots from Humans, because the Bots don't cash in unit souls when they hit Lv30. Because trust me, no human would ever *not* cash in a Vampire or Saint soul. Saint Soul gives a unit a Personal 75% Ranged Damage Resist.
1. Vampire and Saint souls don't exist in the game yet.
2. You have a limited number of Soulvessels.
3. You can have 99 duplicates of each unit type.
tl;dr: Accusations with complete lack of game knowledge, aka harassment.
All these harassing captains (or "captains", it's amazing how many of these have stopped playing once you show their true behavior to the world) are a nuisance and should be banned. Their typical behavior is to offend (often kicked off by members of their chat) new players placing in their battles, get excited about more rewards after the battles, immediately decide to avoid granting rewards to these players, get very surprised when they leave due to the harassment never to return causing several losses in a row as the game scaling adjusts as well as dwindling number of battle rewards. Yet they don't bother to appologize for the harassment.
Examples of such behavior (with audio)
acey1234tv and ShrebTV:
Ninja_Pringles and AeroGarfield29 (a known violator and, for some reason, still a partner):
-
Initiating harassment of players and encouraging the streamer to support the bullying while providing no solid evidence and displaying own lack of reasoning (e.g., "I have no idea").
-
Intense nameshaming with more assumptions (e.g., "I think") instead of solid facts, leading to the streamer rewarding the harasser with additional loot.
-
Players from the previous battle leave after being bullied and harassed by the streamer and this chatter. The harasser immediately jump in to suggest that their claims are true, completelly ignoring the fact that they just violated the Guidelines. Next they lead the streamer to solidify their bullying by banning random players and forcing them to get into chat and plead for their "humanity".
-
Harassing more players and further encouraging the streamer to violate the Guidelines. Including explicitly requesting not to ban themselves despite having violated those guidelines. Afterwards, encouraging the streamer to submit a false accusation to CTV staff and get the streamer into trouble.
If you get banned by one of them under the false accusation of botting we strongly advice you NOT to support their harassment by coming an their chat and begging for an unban (You've already lost any loyalty progress with them). Instead we encourage you to report them by clicking the names on the list, even though CTV immediately discards the reports without reading them. If you have a Discord account it's even better to message EACH of the CTV staff members directly and report this harassment incident, complaining in public channels is futile.
